Australian Small Business Grants 2014

This is a range of Small Business Grants and funding sources available to Australian Businesses. It is not an exhaustive list, but gives a good range of the grants available currently. If any links or information are not current, please let us know.

City of Melbourne Small Business Grants

The program provides financial assistance to small businesses currently located or intending to locate within the City of Melbourne municipal boundary.

Business Growth Grants

Grant funding can be used to engage a consultant/s to make improvements to your business that were recommended by your Business Adviser through the Business Evaluation.



City of Perth Small Business Grants

Offers grants to small businesses located or based within the City of Perth Local Government Area. The grants may be used to assist businesses to purchase new equipment, with start-up or expansion costs or for other approved small business projects.

Frankston City Small Business Grants

Businesses can apply for up to $10,000, to be spent on business growth endeavours. Eligible businesses can apply for up to $15,000 in the specialized Emerging Exporter and Green Business categories.

Single Business Service

The Single Business Service provides a point of contact for information and referral services on issues such as obtaining finance, managing your cash flow, industry support programs, independent contracting, retail leasing, marketing, and stress and hardship counselling.



No Interest Micro-Business Loan

Provides business start-up information and an interest-free loan for the development of a business idea into a practical proposal.



Small Business Advisory Services (SBAS)

The Small Business Advisory Services (SBAS) programme aims to maximize the growth potential, prosperity and sustainability of small businesses through enhanced access to information and advice on issues important to establishing, sustaining and/or growing a small business.



Employment Start Up For Business

Supports small and medium sized Victorian businesses who recruit unemployed young people.



Growing Defence Business

Assistance package for NT businesses that support or supply the NT Defence Industry with skills, labour, goods or services. This program offers reimbursements for businesses to engage professional advisors who work with you to develop your business.

City of Perth Matched Funding Business Grants

Provides businesses with funding of up to $20,000 on a dollar for dollar basis. This program focuses on supporting the knowledge-based industries and business projects that improve the vitality and vibrancy of the city and in particular, those projects that activate underutilised spaces.

Assists Indigenous Australians to establish, acquire and grow small to medium businesses.




Aims to help small and medium businesses find long-term success in international business.

Supports business owners and managers to build their business planning and management capability through review, coaching and business planning.

Farm Finance

Aims to build the ongoing financial resilience of farm businesses. Provides concessional loans for productivity enhancement projects or debt restructuring for farm businesses in all states and the Northern Territory.

Grant McLennan Memorial Fellowship

The $25,000 grant offers the recipient an opportunity to travel to New York, London or Berlin for up to 2 months to further develop their artistic skills in a foreign and vibrant culture.
